- Jennifer Lopez Accused Of Not Voicing ‘Jenny From The Block’, Singer Comes Forward & Claims She Got Paid Very Little Money For Vocals
On Thursday, a singer named Natasha Ramos says she was hired to sing background vocals on “Jenny From The Block” but suspects that JLo’s vocals were turned down and what we hear in the famous chorus line is actually’ Ramos’ voice.
“I don’t know what year 2001, 2002, I was able to sing a reference track for Jenny From The Black for Jennifer…so I recorded it for her she loved it…they said they wanted to keep me on there and sing background vocals for some of the songs on the album..So she did go into the studio and recorded some background vocals over mine. I am convinced they turned her background vocals all the way down because it sounds almost identical to the reference track…the laugh you hear on the song is my laugh…the person saying “from the Bronx”, that’s my voice”

Had she been more gracious, more magnanimous, more generous and less haughty and delusional, none of this would have happened.
She’s built an A-list career with practically zero singing talent, middling acting talent and above average dancing skills. In the process, she earned hundreds of millions of dollars. How big of a dent to her finances would it have been to give $1 million to each of the singers who gave her the music career that she did not deserve? Would it have really impoverished her to pay her PAs and other staff properly? How difficult was it to be nice to servers or to tip generously?
For years she has established a reputation of stepping on other people in her climb to the top - aided by powerful guys who had the hots for her. And she has pretty much gotten away with everything but her delusions of grandeur couldn’t let sleeping dogs lie. She kept on harping on a largely and transparently imaginary backstory. She embarks on a tour that only her outsized estimation of her own draw would have been able to support. And then compound all of that with an out of touch movie that became a monument to her narcissism. Of course, the people who harbored resentment saw an opening to pounce. And pounce they did and rightfully so. What we’re seeing now is an ongoing snuff film - through hubris and utter lack of taste, she killed any chance of maintaining any of her relevance or leaving even a largely undeserved legacy. She now ends her career as a big joke.

Nobody sells records if they can't sing. Jlo is the total package. She's multi faceted, her dedication and discipline for her craft is what put her on top.

Not too many people 'have that in them, being an Artist is not just singing. It's how you mingle. your stage presence, your communication skills, wardrobe, props, team etc.
I let my skills go unknown for I got away from a near fatal situation that has followed me through my years. Something I can't talk about. But to sit here and say Jlo can't sing is rude and foul. Are there better singers yes, there's always one better than the other.

You can tell by what Natasha said at the end of the song that there was more to the story. This is terrible that artists and writers have gotten ripped off in this industry that’s why I never wanted to be serious about music until I was old enough .
